SHIPPING:
Shipping costs: (effective 1/18/09) For Continental US order under $90 are $6.75 For Continental US orders over $90 - free shipping APO boxes- same as Continental US rates.
Shipping Addresses If you check out through paypal using an old address, and the package is delivered to the old address, it is your responsibility to obtain the package. If you contact us within a few hours of ordering or immediately after you check out, we should be able to change the address. We will always reply via email that we will change the address. If you don’t receive a response, check that you clicked send and try emailing again or calling.
International and Canadian orders- We ship to Canadian addresses and APO addresses only. Exceptions are made for overseas missionaries - email us your specific information and we can discuss details to ship to you. Canadian rates can be checked by adding items to the shopping cart and prior to paying, it will calculate the rates. Shipping costs are high and there is no reasonable ground service when you account for courier fees with Fedex. We ship First class Mail for packages under 4 lbs but packages 4 lbs and over must go priority mail, as first class mail is not an option. If shipping costs are significantly different than what is charged at check out we will contact you.
We do understand that high quality prefolds are difficult to find in Europe but we have found the most people find the actual shipping costs to be unreasonable so we discontinued shipping. For reference it costs about $39 USD to ship 2 dozen premium diapers to Europe the cheapest way available. We are aware that sometimes it is appealing to have items shipped to family and friends who can forward items to you, but the cost from the US to Europe is the same if we ship it or your family does. Some products such as Bum Genius have warranties based on where you purchased it, so if you have a Bum Genius product forwarded to you it will be a problem should you have a problem with the diaper.
We make every effort to ship your order within 48-72 business hours. We usually ship Monday through Friday, if you place an order after Thursday afternoon, it will likely ship on Monday. International (Canadian) orders take 10-14 business days to ship. Transit time can be 2 - 2.5 weeks, please be aware of this when ordering. The delay is due to the paperwork from customs and also that international orders cannot be shipped from our home office. If your order is over 4 lbs and going priority mail, there isn’t as substantial a delay.
We generally ship Fedex. Occasionally we do send items parcel post, particularly to PO and APO boxes. If you have a PO box, please include a street address in the additional instructions area of your order. Transit times can be 4-5 business days if you are on the east coast.
Occasionally we run out of stock of an item. If this happens, we ship the out of stock item as soon as we receive it or we may substitute an upgraded item in it’s place. If the delay is going to be more than a few days than your orders normal shipping time, we will contact you.
CHECKOUT ISSUES and FAQ’s:
Do I have to pay with paypal? NO. You do not need to pay through paypal even if you have a paypal account. It is an option, but not required. If you choose to pay with credit card not through paypal, on the left hand side before you log onto paypal, there is a button that has ‘continue’ without registering as a link. Click there and it will prompt you to enter your credit card info and address. If you have problems, try using an email address and credit card that is not in the paypal system.
Can I pay with check or money order? YES We will accept checks or money orders. We ship orders after payment clears. Please print the items ordered, such as printing the shopping cart page. Add $6.75 for shipping to orders under $90, and CA residents add 8.75% sales tax. Include your address as well and email address or phone number in case there is a problem with your order.
How do I choose local pick up? Email us- We do love to meet local moms and have local pick up or delivery, however there isn’t a local pick up option for shipping within the shopping cart as it stands. Shipping can be refunded if paid online or not charged if paid for in person.
What if I had it sent to a wrong address accidentally? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check your address at time of checkout. IF your order is sent via USPS, there is not a guaranteed way to get your package back to us or delivered to you. Sometimes it may be forwarded if your move was recent, but often it will be delivered to the old address. FedEx, and UPS packages can usually be re-directed at a cost to us. This is very time consuming for us and we reserve the right to charge for our time in doing this in addition to the costs charged us for the re-direction. If a package is returned to us due to a bad address, we reserve the right to charge for the cost of re-shipment. We have no way of choosing which address on your paypal account we ship to, it only gives us the one showing as the ‘ship to address’ on the paypal screen when you check out. If you check out and notice you had on old address after you clicked ‘pay now’, email us asap. We say this twice because it is a big problem.
Why didn’t I get an email confirmation of my order? Because we have a pathetic website and shopping cart. We do not have an automated email generating system which sends out order details. Paypal emails receipts if you use paypal or if you include your email address when you don’t use paypal. You may need to check your spam folder. If you checkout without going through paypal, please include a valid email address so we can contact you about your order, particularly if there is something backordered or that we need to clarify. We realize that manually emailing everyone would be optimal, but time constraints do not permit quick shipping and manually emailing order details. We have been waiting for years for several reasons for a better website. We now have one at littlelions.com, but it doesn’t work and our programmer hasn’t gotten the bugs out to make it work. Once it works, you will have automated emails about your order details.
How will I know when my order is shipped? You will get an email via paypal or from Fedex with shipment information. Check your spam folder, they often land there.
The USPS site says for the past 5 days it is expecting the package, did it ship? About 99.7% of the time, yes, it was shipped. Rarely I have had helping hands move a package which was not seen at package pickup/drop off and discovered the following day. There are things about the USPS tracking/delivery confirmation system I do not understand but sometimes packages aren’t tracked, sometimes they are, sometimes they seem to disappear for a few days. I don’t understand it, either. If you don’t receive your package within a reasonable amount of time, please contact us or call the USPS postal service- 1-800-610-8734 with the tracking number emailed to you.
I just received a tracking number, but Fedex says it’s invalid? It can take a few hours for it to be in the system during the business day. If you get a tracking number over the weekend, it won’t register until sometime Monday.
I need the package send via expedited shipping, is this possible? Oftentimes. Email us or call us and we can make arrangements. We are not online all day everyday, but if we are around, we can look into the options available to you to ensure the delivery time you need.
I need my package shipped today, other companies guarantee same day shipping, do you? Sorry, no, we can’t guarantee that. We are looking into options for us to have same day shipping. See the above if you need expedited shipping, but if you’re ordering on a weekend and need it by Friday, just send a note with your order and we’ll get it out asap.
This is a gift, do you offer special options? We can include a note or card with who the gift is from and a packing slip with the prices removed. Add what you’d want the note to say to the recipient in the “send message to little lions” part of checkout or email us the information.
Something was missing or incorrect in my order! Email us, we’ll fix it.
I placed my order but want to add to it, can I? As long as it hasn’t shipped, yes. Send an email to us and paypal for the amount of the item to littlelions1 @ yahoo. com (remove spaces) with a note specifying it is adding to an order already placed. Be specific about what you are adding- color, size, etc. And about the order you are adding to - give us the name, address and email address of the original order.
Can I change the order I just placed? If it hasn’t shipped, send us an email and we’ll work out the details.
Can I cancel my order? If it hasn’t shipped, send us an email, we can cancel it.
USPS tracking says it was delivered, but I didn’t get it. Please contact your postal carrier. If it is a fedex package, contact us and we’ll contact fedex.
I need to talk to someone about one of the above questions or something else! Email is really and truly the best way to get a fairly quick answer. We are not always able to answer the phone during reasonable calling hours. We run our business from our home, but we are a homeschooling family who is often not at home during the day. If you leave a message, I do try to return calls during the day, but it’s not a guarantee and it can be a day or even 2 before we actually reach you, email gives us more opportunity for timely replies.
